The 25th International Seaweed Symposium will take place at the Victoria Conference Centre, in beautiful Victoria, BC Canada.

The Victoria Conference Centre (VCC) is Vancouver Island’s largest conference facility, with 77,000 square feet of meeting space and just steps from Victoria’s iconic Inner Harbour, and attached to the Fairmont Empress Hotel, the main conference hotel. It is the first conference centre in Canada to receive the BOMA PLATINUM certification, i.e. it meets all the best practices in environmental management and scored between 90-100% of the BOMA BEST assessment. The Victoria Conference Centre is designated as carbon neutral by noted corporate sustainability management firms Synergy Enterprises and Offsetters. Through its offsets with Offsetters, the VCC supports The Great Bear Forest Carbon Project. The Great Bear Rainforest is home to the largest intact coastal temperate rainforest remaining in the world.
